# How can we help?

> Search for a question, or browse by topic. Each article answers one question and links to the step-by-step guide when there is one. Can't find it? Talk to us and we'll answer, and add it here.

## Getting started

Sign up, confirm your email, and go live.

- [What is DemoPage?](https://demopage.io/help/what-is-demopage.md): DemoPage is an AI demo agent for software companies. A visitor asks for a demo on your site, and DemoPage shows them your product, narrated for what they said they need, answers their questions from pages you approved, and sends the lead to your team.
- [How do I set up DemoPage?](https://demopage.io/help/get-started.md): Sign up with your work email and confirm it. DemoPage reads your website, you keep the pages the demo may show and go live, and then you add one script tag to your site or share your demo link. Choose where leads go, and add a login if you want the demo to show your product signed in.
- [Which email address can I sign up with?](https://demopage.io/help/signup-email.md): Use your work address at your company's domain. Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, and other free or temporary inboxes can't sign up, and the domain has to receive email. When the email is on your website's domain, your demo link turns on without a review.
- [I didn't get my confirmation email. What should I do?](https://demopage.io/help/confirmation-email.md): Check the address you signed up with, look in your spam folder, and then send the email again from the portal. The confirmation link works for 7 days, and nothing runs until you open it.
- [What does the free trial include?](https://demopage.io/help/free-trial.md): The trial needs no card. For the first 30 days after you go live, your demo link gets 10 live demos, up to 5 live demos a day, in any of the 17 languages, one at a time, with alerts by email. Slack alerts and webhooks come with Starter; lead notes, recap links, and demos before the first call come with Growth. Then, unless you pick a plan, it moves to the Free plan: 3 live demos a month, in one language. Recordings and chat never count toward either limit.
- [How does DemoPage read my website?](https://demopage.io/help/reading-your-site.md): After you confirm your email, DemoPage reads your home page, up to 7 more pages from your sitemap, and groups of similar pages, like your integrations. It then lists the pages the demo can show and cite, and you choose which to keep. If it finds none, the portal says No pages to show yet and shows notes on what it tried.
- [Why can't I create a DemoPage account?](https://demopage.io/help/cant-sign-up.md): The sign-up form tells you what went wrong. Most messages have a fix you can make yourself: use your work email, pick a longer password, or sign in if the email already has an account. When sign-ups are invite-only or full for the day, request an invite or talk to us.
- [I signed up with the wrong email. What do I do?](https://demopage.io/help/wrong-signup-email.md): Sign up again with the right address. The portal can't change the email on an account, and an account whose email was never confirmed does nothing: DemoPage doesn't read its site, and it can't go live. If you already confirmed the account and want another address on it, talk to us.
- [How is my demo link named, and can I change it?](https://demopage.io/help/demo-link-name.md): Your demo link is named after your company, and DemoPage takes the company name from your email's domain. The name is set when you go live, in lowercase with hyphens, like northwind-sales. The portal has no setting to rename it, so talk to us if you need a different one.
- [How do I try my demo before I share it?](https://demopage.io/help/test-your-demo.md): Open Demo settings, pick the language the guide starts in, press Hear the guide to listen to its voice, and press Open demo to go through the demo as a visitor would. Your tests send alerts and show up in Results like a visitor's, and they count toward the daily live-demo limit.
- [What's in my portal after I go live?](https://demopage.io/help/portal-tour.md): Your portal has five tabs: Home for the next thing to do and your demo link, Leads for leads and alerts, Results for what visitors did and asked, Demo settings for how the demo looks and sounds, and Plan for your usage. The header has Help center, Setup guide, and Sign out.

## Add it to your site

The demo button, your own button, and the share link.

- [How do I add the demo button to my website?](https://demopage.io/help/add-demo-button.md): Copy one script tag from Embed on your site in your portal's Demo settings, and paste it before the closing body tag on every page that should show the button. It adds a Get a live demo button that opens your demo over the page.
- [How do I add DemoPage to Webflow?](https://demopage.io/help/webflow.md): In Webflow open Site settings, then Custom code, and paste your DemoPage snippet into Footer code. Press Save changes and publish the site. Custom code doesn't run in the Designer or in preview, so check the published site.
- [How do I add DemoPage to WordPress?](https://demopage.io/help/wordpress.md): Use a plugin that adds code to every page, such as WPCode: open Code Snippets, then Header & Footer, and paste your DemoPage snippet under Footer. You can also add it to your theme's footer.
- [How do I add DemoPage to HubSpot?](https://demopage.io/help/hubspot-cms.md): In HubSpot open Settings, then Content, then Pages. Choose your domain, or Default settings for all domains, paste your DemoPage snippet into Site footer HTML, and press Save.
- [Can I add DemoPage to Wix, Squarespace, Framer, or Shopify?](https://demopage.io/help/other-site-builders.md): Yes, on any site that lets you paste a script into a code field that loads on every page. Look for a field called custom code, footer code, or code injection, and paste your DemoPage snippet there.
- [Can I use my own button instead of the DemoPage one?](https://demopage.io/help/own-button.md): Add data-button="none" to the script to hide the DemoPage button, then add data-demopage-open to any link or button on your page. Clicking it opens your demo over the page.
- [How do I change the button's text, color, or position?](https://demopage.io/help/button-label-color-position.md): Add attributes to the script tag: data-label for the text, data-color for the color, and data-position="left" to move it to the bottom left.
- [Can I show the demo on another domain or a staging site?](https://demopage.io/help/other-domains.md): The demo opens on your website's domain and its subdomains by default. To show it on another site, such as a blog on a different domain or a staging site, add that site under Embed on your site in Demo settings and press Save websites.
- [How do I share my demo link in emails, ads, and posts?](https://demopage.io/help/share-demo-link.md): Every demo has its own page on DemoPage, named after your company. Copy the link from Your demo link on the portal's Home tab, and use it anywhere you can't add a script: emails, outbound sequences, ads, social posts, and chat.

## Your demo and pages

What the demo may show, say, and click.

- [How do I set what the guide can open in my demo?](https://demopage.io/help/choose-pages.md): After DemoPage reads your site and you confirm your email, open Set what the guide can open, under Guardrails in the setup steps. Every page starts ticked, so untick any page the guide should not open or quote, then press Go live with N pages. The guide opens and quotes only the pages you keep, and anything that would save, send, or pay stays blocked.
- [How do I change the pages after my demo is live?](https://demopage.io/help/update-pages.md): Open Demo settings, find Update the live demo, and press Update live demo to start a private draft. In the draft, re-read your site, tick or untick pages, press Check selected pages, then press Publish update once every ticked page of your website passes. Your current demo stays live and unchanged until you publish.
- [How do I tell the guide what to say about a page?](https://demopage.io/help/page-special-instructions.md): Write a special instruction for the page in a draft update, and the guide follows it when it presents that page. Open Demo settings, press Update live demo, open Special instructions under a ticked page, write what to point out or how to explain it, and press Save instruction. Then press Check selected pages and Publish update.
- [What can't the demo click or change in my product?](https://demopage.io/help/what-the-demo-cannot-do.md): Every demo refuses payments, billing changes, invites, API keys, logout, password and two-factor settings, and deleting an account. The guide opens only pages you approved, and visitors who take the screen stay on your own domains. A network guard also fails delete and update requests while the guide shows your product.
- [Can I build a demo from a presentation instead of my website?](https://demopage.io/help/upload-a-presentation.md): Not instead of your website, but alongside it: a presentation goes live together with at least one page of your site. Upload a PowerPoint (.pptx) or Pages file, or paste a Google Slides or Google Docs link that anyone with the link can view. Visitors can play it with narration, and the guide answers questions from your slides and notes.
- [How do I show my product's signed-in screens in the demo?](https://demopage.io/help/show-signed-in-product.md): Give the demo a login for a sandbox or trial workspace, then let it sign in and find the pages a customer may see. Open Signed in in the setup steps, or after you go live, Demo settings, then Signed-in product pages: create a DemoPage login and invite it into your product, or save a sandbox login you already have. Then enter your sign-in page, press Sign in and find my pages, tick the pages to show, and save them.
- [What is a DemoPage login, and how do I invite it?](https://demopage.io/help/demopage-login.md): A DemoPage login is an email address at agents.demopage.io that you invite into your product like any other user. DemoPage reads the invites, sign-in codes, and links your product sends to it, so the guide can sign in to your sandbox. Create it under Signed in in the setup steps, or under Demo settings, in Signed-in product pages, once you're live.
- [How do I name the guide or change the call-to-action button?](https://demopage.io/help/guide-name-and-button.md): Open Demo settings and find Guide and call to action. Set a Guide name, a Button label such as Start free trial, and a Button URL, then press Save settings. The button appears at the top of the chat, on the card at the end of the demo, and on the recap page.
- [How does the demo answer questions, and where do the answers come from?](https://demopage.io/help/how-answers-work.md): The guide answers from the pages you approved, your presentation and research, and answers your team approved, and it cites each one. When those don't support an answer, it hands the question to your team instead of guessing, and the question waits for you under Questions to answer. Price questions go to your team by default.
- [Will the guide tell visitors my prices?](https://demopage.io/help/pricing-questions.md): Not by default: when a visitor asks about price, a discount, or a quote, the guide hands the question to your team. It says the team will give them a real number, points to your call-to-action button if you set one, and the question waits for you under Questions to answer. If you'd like it to quote your published prices, ask us to switch your demo, and it then quotes only prices an approved page states, citing the page.
- [What do I do with questions the demo couldn't answer?](https://demopage.io/help/unanswered-questions.md): Open the Results tab and find Questions to answer, where the guide puts the questions your approved pages didn't support. Type the answer you want it to use and press Approve answer. The guide can then use that answer with future visitors.
- [Why was a page kept out of my demos?](https://demopage.io/help/pages-kept-out.md): DemoPage loads every approved page the way a demo would when you go live, when you save signed-in pages, and again each night. A page that fails twice in one check is kept out of demos until a later check passes, and the Results tab lists it under Pages kept out of demos with the reason.

## Leads and alerts

Email, Slack, your CRM, and who gets a live demo.

- [Where do my demo leads go?](https://demopage.io/help/where-leads-go.md): Every visitor is asked for a work email before the demo starts. DemoPage saves it as a lead and alerts your team by email and, if you connect it on Starter and above, in Slack. You pick the inboxes and the channel on the Leads tab, under Where alerts go, and your newest leads are listed there under Latest leads.
- [How do I get demo lead alerts in Slack?](https://demopage.io/help/slack-alerts.md): Slack alerts are included from Starter. On the Leads tab, open Where alerts go and press Add to Slack, then pick the channel your team watches, like #demo-leads. If you don't see Add to Slack, make an incoming webhook for the channel in Slack, paste it under Slack alerts, press Save, then press Send a test. On the trial and Free plans, alerts come by email; a channel you saved shows as Kept and posts again when you pick Starter or above.
- [How do I stop lead alerts for a while?](https://demopage.io/help/pause-alerts.md): On the Leads tab, open Where alerts go, clear Email alerts to, and press Save. Then press Turn off under Slack alerts. New leads still show on the Leads tab, and adding your addresses and channel back turns alerts on again.
- [Who gets a live demo, and how do I control it?](https://demopage.io/help/who-gets-a-live-demo.md): Under Who gets a live demo, let everyone in right away, make personal email addresses wait for your approval, or approve every request yourself. Anyone who waits watches the recording meanwhile. The setting is on the Leads tab, under Where alerts go.
- [How do I approve or decline a live demo request?](https://demopage.io/help/approve-a-request.md): Your alert email and Slack message have an Approve or decline link, and the same requests are listed under Live demo requests on the Leads tab. Approving switches a visitor who is still watching to a live demo, and emails one who left a link to start it.
- [Where can I see all my leads, and can I export them?](https://demopage.io/help/see-and-export-leads.md): The Leads tab lists your 10 newest leads from the last 30 days under Latest leads, with Reply and, after a live demo, Recap. There's no export button. To keep every lead, send each one to a webhook, or keep your alert emails or Slack channel.
- [How do I follow up with a lead after their demo?](https://demopage.io/help/follow-up-a-lead.md): Open the Leads tab, find the lead under Latest leads, and press Reply to email them, or Recap to see what they saw first. Leads who asked for pricing or a follow-up show as a number next to Leads, and on Home's Next card.
- [What is the qualification card on each lead?](https://demopage.io/help/lead-qualification-card.md): On Growth and above, every lead gets a card that sorts what they told the demo into a sales framework: SPICED to start, with BANT or MEDDICC if you ask us. Each field quotes the buyer's own words, and a field they didn't speak to is marked Not known yet instead of guessed.
- [How do I add a booking link so ready buyers can book a call?](https://demopage.io/help/booking-link.md): Paste your Calendly, HubSpot meetings, or other booking page under Booking link on the Leads tab, in Where alerts go, and press Save. When a live demo ends, the buyer gets a Book time with the team button if they look ready to talk to your team.
- [How do I record a demo for each new lead from my CRM?](https://demopage.io/help/demo-before-first-call.md): Included from Growth. Turn on Demo before the first call on the Leads tab, then have your CRM or a Zap send each new lead's email and goal to your Send leads to address. DemoPage records a walkthrough made for that lead and sends it to your team by email and Slack. You can also prepare one by hand, and the lead can get theirs by email.
- [What does a lead get when DemoPage emails them their demo?](https://demopage.io/help/prepared-demo-email.md): When a demo made for them passes every check, the lead gets an email from your product's name via DemoPage, with a link to their own walkthrough. They can ask questions on the page as they watch, the link works for 30 days, and the email offers your booking link or asks them to reply.
- [How do I send demo leads and finished demos to a webhook?](https://demopage.io/help/send-to-webhook.md): Webhooks are included from Starter. On the Demo settings tab, open Send finished demos to a webhook (optional) under Guide and call to action, and paste your https address under Webhook URL. After you press Save settings, DemoPage posts a signed JSON event when a lead is captured, when a live demo ends, and, on Growth and above, when a demo made for a CRM lead is ready. It works with Zapier, Make, or your own endpoint.

## Results

What the numbers mean and what buyers asked.

- [What do the numbers on the Results tab mean?](https://demopage.io/help/read-results.md): The Results tab shows your last 30 days, from people who saw your button to people who clicked to book a call. Below the numbers are the questions asked most, where the demo was opened, pages kept out of demos, and notes from leads. Most numbers count each visitor once a day, while every live demo counts.
- [What do the numbers on Home mean?](https://demopage.io/help/home-numbers.md): Home shows four counts from your last 30 days: who opened your demo, who started one, live demos watched to the end, and leads who asked to talk. Press any of them to open the Results tab, where each has a fuller name.
- [What is the Monday email, and how do I turn it off?](https://demopage.io/help/monday-email.md): Each Monday, your alert inboxes and Slack channel get a summary of the past week: what buyers asked, what your pages didn't answer, and your newest leads. To turn it off, untick Monday email of what buyers asked on the Leads tab, under Where alerts go, and press Save. A week with no forms sent, live demos, questions, leads, or prepared demos is skipped.

## Plans and billing

Live demos, top-ups, changing or cancelling a plan.

- [What plans does DemoPage have, and what do they cost?](https://demopage.io/help/plans-compared.md): Free, Starter, Growth, Scale, and Enterprise. Starter is $99 a month for 10 live demos, Growth $799 for 100, and Scale $1,999 for 300. Recordings, chat, and answers are included on every plan, and you aren't charged per person.
- [What counts as a live demo?](https://demopage.io/help/live-demo-count.md): A live demo counts when a visitor joins it and stays three minutes, or finishes it sooner. A demo recorded for a lead before a call counts once it shows at least two pages. Each visitor counts once a day, and recordings, chat, and your team's own tests never count.
- [Is there a daily limit on live demos?](https://demopage.io/help/daily-live-demo-limit.md): Yes. On the trial and the Free plan, your demo runs up to 5 live demos in any 24 hours. Paid plans allow at least 40, or your monthly live demos plus top-ups when that's more. Past the limit, visitors watch the recording and can still ask questions in chat.
- [Do unused live demos roll over?](https://demopage.io/help/do-live-demos-roll-over.md): No. Your plan's live demos work on a rolling 30 days: each live demo that counts stays in your total for 30 days, then frees up again. There's no reset date, and nothing carries over. Top-ups and bonus live demos last 30 days from the day you get them.
- [What happens when I run out of live demos?](https://demopage.io/help/out-of-live-demos.md): Nothing breaks and nothing is charged: visitors watch your recording instead of a live demo, and they can still ask questions in chat. You still get their details. On a paid plan, add a top-up or a bigger pack; on the trial or the Free plan, pick a plan.
- [Can I add a few more live demos without changing plans?](https://demopage.io/help/top-up.md): Yes. On a paid plan, you can buy a top-up on the Plan tab: live demos in tens, up to 100 in one payment. Each pack of 10 costs $90 on Starter, $70 on Growth, and $60 on Scale. It's a one-time PayPal payment, and the live demos last 30 days.
- [How do I change or cancel my plan?](https://demopage.io/help/change-or-cancel-plan.md): Both are on the Plan tab in your portal. A new plan starts as soon as PayPal confirms it, and DemoPage cancels your old PayPal subscription. If you cancel, your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then your demo goes back to the Free plan's limits.
- [How do I use an early-adopter code?](https://demopage.io/help/early-adopter-code.md): You can enter an early-adopter code when you sign up, or later on the Plan tab in your portal. A code gives either a plan free for a set number of days, with no card and nothing billed, or bonus live demos for 30 days. Each account can use one code.
- [What happens if PayPal can't renew my plan?](https://demopage.io/help/payment-failed.md): A failed renewal doesn't stop your plan right away: it keeps working, and DemoPage emails you to update the payment. If PayPal then suspends the subscription, your demo goes back to the Free plan's limits until you update the payment in PayPal or pick a plan on the Plan tab.
- [What happens when my plan ends?](https://demopage.io/help/when-a-plan-ends.md): Your demo keeps working on the Free plan: 3 live demos a month and up to 5 a day, in one language, one live demo at a time, with alerts by email, plus any top-ups still in their 30 days. Other visitors watch your recording and can still ask questions in chat, and nothing is charged. Pick a plan on the Plan tab to get your live demos back.
- [How do I pay, and where are my receipts?](https://demopage.io/help/paying-and-receipts.md): You pay for DemoPage plans and top-ups with PayPal, in US dollars, and prices don't include taxes. DemoPage doesn't send its own receipts: every payment shows in your PayPal account. Enterprise plans can pay by invoice or purchase order instead.
- [Is there a yearly discount, and do you offer refunds?](https://demopage.io/help/refunds-and-yearly.md): Paying yearly is two months free: you pay ten times the monthly price, for the same live demos every 30 days. Payments aren't refunded, including for part of a month or year, and you're only charged for the plan or top-ups you pick. A live demo that fails on our side, or a visitor who leaves before three minutes without finishing, never counts.

## Languages and voice

17 languages, and the one your demo starts in.

- [Which languages does DemoPage support?](https://demopage.io/help/languages.md): 17 languages, each with its own voice: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu, and Urdu. Live demos, chat, and answers work in all of them, and visitors can change the language on the demo's start screen.
- [How do I choose the language my demo starts in?](https://demopage.io/help/set-start-language.md): In Demo settings, under Language and voice, pick a language, or leave it on Visitor's browser. Your demo link and the button on your site then start in that language, and visitors can still change it. To set a language for one page or one link, add it to the script tag or the link.
- [Can I dub my recorded demo into other languages?](https://demopage.io/help/dub-the-recording.md): Yes. In Demo settings, open Dub the recorded demo into other languages, choose a language, and press Create dubbed recording. Once it says Ready, visitors who watch the recording in that language get the dubbed version instead of the original.

## What your visitors see

The buyer's side of a recording and a live demo.

- [What does my visitor see when they open the demo?](https://demopage.io/help/visitor-experience.md): They give a work email, then watch a recording or join a live walkthrough of your real product, with a chat beside it. They can ask questions in the chat or out loud, and after a live demo they get a recap and one next step. They never need an account.
- [What's the difference between the recording and a live demo?](https://demopage.io/help/recording-or-live.md): A recording is a narrated walkthrough of your product that any visitor can watch at any time, and everyone on your link sees the same one. A live demo is the guide driving your real product in a private browser while the visitor watches, asks questions, and steers. Recordings, chat, and answers never use your live demos.
- [Why does the recording mention another company?](https://demopage.io/help/recording-names-another-company.md): Every visitor on a demo link sees the same recording, usually the newest finished walkthrough of your product, made for an earlier visitor. Its voice can name that visitor's company. Live demos and chat answers are made for the visitor who is watching.
- [Can visitors steer the demo or try the product themselves?](https://demopage.io/help/visitors-steer-the-demo.md): Yes. In a live demo a visitor can say or type "show me pricing", "go back", or "skip", or use the agenda, and the guide changes route. They can press Try it yourself to take the screen, or Point to have a control explained, with the same blocked actions as always.
- [Can visitors ask questions out loud?](https://demopage.io/help/ask-out-loud.md): Yes, in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Hindi: a microphone button beside the chat box lets a visitor speak a question. Their words appear as they talk, and pressing the button again sends the question. If the browser can't use the microphone, the room says so and they type instead.
- [What happens when every live demo seat is busy?](https://demopage.io/help/waiting-line.md): The visitor joins a waiting line and watches the recording meanwhile, with a bar over it showing their place and a rough wait. They can keep asking questions in the chat. When a seat frees up, the room switches them to the live demo by itself.
- [What is the recap link, and who can use it?](https://demopage.io/help/recap-link.md): On Growth and above, when a live demo ends, the visitor can copy a recap link from the finish card: what was built for them, what they saw, and the recording once it's ready. The link works for 30 days, so they can forward it to anyone on their team. Your team gets the same link in the finished-demo alert, the webhook, and under Recap on the Leads tab. Recap links already made keep opening after a plan change.
- [Does the demo show DemoPage branding to my visitors?](https://demopage.io/help/demopage-branding.md): On the trial and Free plans, yes: the demo page says Hosted on DemoPage under your product's name, and a small DemoPage badge and a Powered by DemoPage link appear around the demo. From Starter, they're removed from the demo page and the drive video.
- [Can visitors use the demo with a keyboard or screen reader?](https://demopage.io/help/demo-accessibility.md): Mostly: the form, the chat, the agenda, and the buttons around the demo work from the keyboard, and screen readers hear new chat messages and errors. The live demo is a video of a browser, so a screen reader can't read the product inside it. The guide speaks as it goes, and its answers appear in the chat.

## Security and privacy

The demo browser, passwords, data, and compliance.

- [Is it safe to let DemoPage demo my product?](https://demopage.io/help/is-demopage-safe.md): Every demo runs in an isolated browser on DemoPage's servers, never on the visitor's device, and opens only pages you approved. Payments, invites, API keys, and account changes are blocked in every mode, and secrets on screen are masked before the AI model reads the page. Your sandbox login stays on DemoPage's servers and is never shown in a demo.
- [Does the AI see my sandbox password or the secrets on my screen?](https://demopage.io/help/passwords-and-the-ai.md): No. DemoPage's browser fills in your sandbox login itself, and the AI model only ever sees placeholders for it. Keys, tokens, card numbers, and password fields on the page are masked before anything is recorded or read by the model, and they stay masked as the page changes.
- [Where is my data stored, and for how long?](https://demopage.io/help/where-is-my-data.md): Your data is stored on Google Cloud in the United States, and every connection to DemoPage is encrypted with TLS. Your account and demo recordings are kept while your account is active and deleted when you ask; other records are removed on a schedule, and backups roll off within 30 days. Nothing you or your visitors send is used to train AI models.
- [How do I delete my data or get a Data Processing Addendum?](https://demopage.io/help/delete-my-data.md): There's no delete button in the portal, so you ask by email, from the address you signed up with. Write to legal@demopage.io with what you want deleted, or to ask for a Data Processing Addendum. Deleted data leaves our backups within 30 days.
- [Does DemoPage support SSO, audit export, or data residency outside the US?](https://demopage.io/help/does-demopage-support-sso.md): Not yet: single sign-on, audit export, a private-network runner, and data residency outside the US are being built with early Enterprise customers. Today, Enterprise adds a contract, reserved live rooms, an invoice or purchase order, a named contact, and a security review.
- [Can my teammates sign in to my DemoPage account?](https://demopage.io/help/teammates.md): No. Each DemoPage account has one sign-in, the email address you signed up with, and there's no way to invite teammates. Your team can still get every lead: add up to 5 addresses to Email alerts to, post alerts to a shared Slack channel, and forward recap links. Don't share your password; if the account should move to a colleague, talk to us.
- [How do I sign out, and how long does a sign-in last?](https://demopage.io/help/sign-out.md): Press Sign out at the top right of your portal. A sign-in lasts 14 days in that browser, and then you sign in again. Signing out doesn't disconnect AI tools you connected; resetting your password signs out every other browser and disconnects them all.
- [How do I change the email address I sign in with?](https://demopage.io/help/change-account-email.md): The portal has no setting for it, so write to us from the email you signed up with and tell us the new address. To change where lead alerts go instead, edit Email alerts to on the Leads tab; alerts can go to any address, separate from your sign-in.
- [What do I do when a visitor asks to see or delete their data?](https://demopage.io/help/visitor-privacy-request.md): Your company decides how visitor data is used, so the request is yours to answer, and DemoPage helps. Forward it to legal@demopage.io with your demo link and the visitor's email address, and say whether they want a copy or want it deleted.

## Developers and AI tools

Webhooks, the open API, MCP, and building from code.

- [Does DemoPage have an API or MCP server?](https://demopage.io/help/open-api-and-mcp.md): Yes: DemoPage has an MCP server that AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and ChatGPT connect to with Sign in with DemoPage. It can check your setup, add pages for you to approve, and read your results. The account API isn't open to self-serve accounts, so talk to us if you need API access.
- [How do I build my demo from my code with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or ChatGPT?](https://demopage.io/help/build-from-code.md): Connect your coding tool to DemoPage's MCP server, sign in with your DemoPage account, and press Allow. The tool reads your code on your machine, maps your screens, and sends only a short description of each page for you to approve. Nothing is published until you approve it.
- [My AI tool won't connect to DemoPage. What should I check?](https://demopage.io/help/ai-tool-not-connecting.md): Start the connection again from your AI tool, sign in with your DemoPage account, and press Allow on the page that opens. Your email has to be confirmed first, and the tool needs https://app.demopage.io/mcp added as an HTTP server. If a tool that used to work asks you to sign in again, its connection ended, so connect it the same way.
- [How can AI assistants and coding agents use DemoPage?](https://demopage.io/help/ai-agents-and-llms.md): Every marketing page has a Markdown copy: add .md to its address, or ask for text/markdown. llms.txt indexes the site, llms-full.txt has all of it, and agents.md says what an agent may do for a person and the rules. Coding agents can also build a demo from a product's code through the MCP server.

## Troubleshooting

When something doesn't show up or doesn't work.

- [The demo button isn't showing on my site. What should I check?](https://demopage.io/help/button-not-showing.md): Check that the snippet is on that page and that you published the site, since many site builders don't run custom code in their editor or preview. If the button appears but its panel stays empty, your demo link isn't on yet, or that website isn't allowed to show the demo. A Content Security Policy or an ad blocker can also stop the script.
- [Why isn't my demo live yet?](https://demopage.io/help/demo-not-live-yet.md): Your demo link turns on once you've confirmed your email and gone live with at least one page of your website. If you signed up with an email on another domain, it also waits until we've checked that you run the site. The Next card at the top of your portal, or the setup step that's open, says which step is left.
- [Why does my visitor only see the recording and not a live demo?](https://demopage.io/help/only-the-recording.md): A visitor gets the recording when your live demos are used up, every live seat is busy, or your settings hold their request for your approval. They can still ask questions in chat, and you still get their details. The message they see tells you which, and each cause has its own fix.
- [Slack alerts aren't showing up. What should I check?](https://demopage.io/help/slack-not-posting.md): Open Where alerts go on the Leads tab, press Send a test under Slack alerts, and read the answer your portal shows. Slack said HTTP 404 (no_service) means the webhook was removed, channel_is_archived means the channel was archived, and action_prohibited means a Slack admin limits posting there. Connect the channel again, pick another channel, or ask your Slack admin.
- [I'm not getting lead alert emails. What should I check?](https://demopage.io/help/no-alert-emails.md): Open Where alerts go on the Leads tab, check the addresses under Email alerts to, and look in spam for alert emails from DemoPage. If the note under the field says email alerts start as soon as sending is switched on, email isn't on for your account yet. Your leads still show under Latest leads, and Slack alerts work meanwhile.
- [Sign in and find my pages didn't work. What now?](https://demopage.io/help/sign-in-pages-fail.md): Open Demo settings, then Signed-in product pages, and read the message under Where the demo signs in. Most failures mean the login can't sign in on its own: the sign-in page has to be on your product's domain, the login has to be a user in your product, and codes sent by text message can't be read. You can try 4 times a day.
- [I forgot my DemoPage password. How do I reset it?](https://demopage.io/help/reset-password.md): Press Forgot your password? on the portal's sign-in page, enter your work email, and open the link we email you. The link works once, for one hour, and your new password needs at least 12 characters. Resetting signs out every other browser and disconnects every AI tool you connected.
- [How do I contact DemoPage?](https://demopage.io/help/contact-us.md): Use the Talk to us form at demopage.io/early-access, or email hello@demopage.io. For privacy, legal, or security matters, email legal@demopage.io. Include your demo link and the email you signed up with, and we reply by email.

Not here? Email hello@demopage.io or use https://demopage.io/early-access. Step-by-step setup guides: [Docs](https://demopage.io/docs.md).
