# How does the demo answer questions, and where do the answers come from?

> The guide answers from the pages you approved, your presentation and research, and answers your team approved, and it cites each one. When those don't support an answer, it hands the question to your team instead of guessing, and the question waits for you under Questions to answer. Price questions go to your team by default.

## Where answers come from

- The pages you approved, cited by page.
- What the guide has shown on screen in this demo.
- Your presentation, its notes, and research links. See [adding a presentation](https://demopage.io/help/upload-a-presentation.md).
- Answers your team approved, cited as Team answer.
- The sources are listed under each reply. In a live demo, the page an answer came from goes on screen next.

## What it won't say

- Commitments go to your team unless a team answer covers them: guarantees, anything in writing, the roadmap, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, a pen test, a DPA or MSA, an implementation plan, professional services, custom integrations, and Salesforce.
- A number, such as an amount or a percentage, has to appear in a cited source.

- Questions are capped at 600 characters.
- Visitors' questions are treated as untrusted text. An instruction hidden in a question becomes a follow-up for your team, never an action.

## When it hands a question over

The visitor reads "I don't want to guess on that one. It isn't on the pages I can point to, so I've flagged it for the team to answer." marked Your team will follow up. No alert is sent for it.
