# What counts as a live demo?

> A live demo counts when a visitor joins it and stays three minutes, or finishes it sooner. A demo recorded for a lead before a call counts once it shows at least two pages. Each visitor counts once a day, and recordings, chat, and your team's own tests never count.

## What counts

- A visitor who joins a live demo and stays three minutes, or reaches the end of it sooner.
- A demo recorded for a lead before a call, once it shows at least two pages. See [Demo before the first call](https://demopage.io/help/demo-before-first-call.md).
- Each visitor once a day on your demo page, however many live demos they start that day. Days are counted in UTC.

## What doesn't

- Watching the recording, and asking questions in chat.
- Your team's tests: live demos started with an email address at your website's domain.
- A visitor who leaves before three minutes without finishing.
- A live demo that fails on our side.

## Who counts as one visitor

DemoPage tells visitors apart by their internet connection, not by name, and doesn't store the address itself. Two people in one office on the same connection can count once a day, and one person on two networks can count twice.

## Where to see it

Plan and usage on the Plan tab shows the live demos that counted, for example 4 of 10 live demos used in the last 30 days. Top-ups and bonus live demos are part of the total, shown as including 10 from top-ups and bonuses.

A live demo shows in that number as soon as it starts, and leaves it again if it ends without counting.

Live demos used today and in the last 7 days include every live demo started, your team's tests and short visits too, because the [daily limit](https://demopage.io/help/daily-live-demo-limit.md) counts those.

## When you reach your number

Visitors watch the recording instead, and nothing is charged. See [what happens when you run out](https://demopage.io/help/out-of-live-demos.md), and [why unused live demos don't roll over](https://demopage.io/help/do-live-demos-roll-over.md).
