# Will the guide tell visitors my prices?

> Not by default: when a visitor asks about price, a discount, or a quote, the guide hands the question to your team. It says the team will give them a real number, points to your call-to-action button if you set one, and the question waits for you under Questions to answer. If you'd like it to quote your published prices, ask us to switch your demo, and it then quotes only prices an approved page states, citing the page.

## What visitors hear

By default, the guide says "Pricing depends on your setup, so I'd rather have the team give you a real number than guess." When you've set a [call-to-action button](https://demopage.io/help/guide-name-and-button.md), it adds "The button at the top reaches the team directly." The reply is marked Your team will follow up.

## Which questions go to your team

- Questions about price, pricing, cost, or how much something is, a quote, a discount, a budget, or prices per seat, per user, or per month.
- Questions that call your product expensive or cheap.
- Approving a team answer for one of them doesn't change this; price questions still go to your team.
- No alert is sent for each one. They wait under Questions to answer on the Results tab; see [What do I do with questions the demo couldn't answer?](https://demopage.io/help/unanswered-questions.md)

## If you want the guide to quote prices

- Ask us to switch your demo to published pricing; see [How do I contact DemoPage?](https://demopage.io/help/contact-us.md) Your portal has no setting for it.
- The guide then repeats a price only when an approved page states it, cites that page, and never states an amount that isn't in a cited source.
- Anything your pages don't state, like a discount or a custom quote, still goes to your team.
- We can also have the guide ask for an email instead, so price questions arrive as leads marked Asked about pricing.
