Zapier
A Zap that sends a lead to DemoPage, or tells it a meeting was booked.
Zapier can send DemoPage a lead for a recorded demo using Webhooks by Zapier, or store contact.ready, meeting.booked, and demo.requested events with your account key. The first uses a link's intake key and needs an email and a goal. Nothing is written back to the apps in the Zap.

Send a lead for a demo
- Add the action Webhooks by Zapier, and choose POST.
- Paste your Send leads to address as the URL, and send the data as JSON.
- Map the lead's email and goal, and any of tools, company, and firstname.
- Add a header named Authorization with the value Bearer, a space, and your key.
curl -X POST https://app.demopage.io/api/d/your-link/prepare \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_INTAKE_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"email":"ada@example.com","goal":"Our reps log calls by hand.","tools":"HubSpot"}'Send an event instead
To store a meeting.booked or demo.requested event, post to the account API with the account key (dp_live_). The events DemoPage accepts are contact.ready, meeting.booked, demo.requested.
curl -X POST https://app.demopage.io/api/v1/events \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_ACCOUNT_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"provider":"zapier","kind":"meeting.booked","externalId":"evt-1001","company":"Northwind","email":"ada@example.com"}'A Zap can also read your demo links with GET /api/v1/demos, which lists them without starting a demo.
Limits
- DemoPage doesn't write to the apps in your Zap. Events are stored in DemoPage only.
- Up to 25 prepared demos a day, and the same email within a week gets the same demo.
- The two keys are different: the intake key works only for one link's prepare address, and the account key reads and writes your account.
When not to use DemoPage for this
- A Zapier app to search for in the app directory. There is none; you use the Webhooks by Zapier action.
- A Zap that reads your results numbers from DemoPage. Events and demo links can be read, and leads, finished live demos, and prepared demos can be pushed to a webhook you add under Demo settings, but the numbers stay in your portal.
