Interactive demos

Interactive product demos: three kinds, and how to choose.

An interactive product demo lets a buyer explore your software instead of watching one fixed video. It comes in three kinds: a click-through of captured screens, a recording with some interaction, and a live demo of the real product. DemoPage is the third kind: it runs your product in a secure browser and answers from pages you approve.

DemoPage is the third kind. It doesn't replace the first two: a captured tour or a video can sit on a landing page, and DemoPage can sit behind the demo button for the buyer who wants their own questions answered.

How to choose

Answer these five questions about your own situation before you compare any vendor, ours included.

  • How often do your screens change? Weekly changes make captured copies stale quickly.
  • Do buyers ask for different things? One fixed path serves one kind of buyer.
  • Does your product run in a web browser? A live demo of the real product needs that.
  • Who answers a buyer's question at 11 p.m.? Decide what an unanswered question should do.
  • What must a demo never do? Payments, sign-ups, and CRM changes should be blocked by design, not by good intentions.

For a line-by-line comparison with click-through tools, videos, and chatbots, read the comparison pages.

What happens in a DemoPage demo

  • The visitor gives a work email. Inside the room they can say or type what they want to see first, and the tool they use.
  • DemoPage opens your real product in a secure browser it runs, on pages you approved, and walks the screens that fit.
  • The visitor asks questions, points at the screen, or clicks around. Payments, sign-ups, and CRM changes stay blocked.
  • Your team gets the lead and what they saw and asked; Growth adds lead notes and a recap link.

You can try it on DemoPage itself: https://app.demopage.io/d/demopage. It asks for a work email, then plays a recording or joins a live demo.

Languages

Live demos run in 17 languages with a native voice for each. Eight have their own page here, with the exact labels the product shows. Spoken questions work in English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, nl; other languages take typed questions.

The product also runs in Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu, Urdu. These don't have a page yet; a page is added when real use in that language justifies one.

When not to use DemoPage for this

  • A product that doesn't run in a web browser, such as a desktop-only app or a game.
  • A single short tour that must load instantly on a landing page. A captured click-through is the better fit there.
  • A story told the same way to every viewer, such as a launch video.

Questions

What teams ask.

What is an interactive product demo?

A demo the buyer can steer: they click, ask, or choose, instead of watching one fixed recording. It can be captured screens, a recording with hotspots, or the real running product.

Is DemoPage a click-through demo tool?

No. It doesn't replay captured screens. It runs your real product in a secure browser and follows what each visitor asks for.

Does a live demo change my data?

No. Payments, sign-ups, invites, API keys, and account changes are refused in every mode. The guardrails page lists what is blocked and how.

Which languages can a live demo use?

17 languages, each with a native voice. Spoken questions work in English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, nl; the rest take typed questions.
