What happens when every live demo seat is busy?

Short answer

The visitor joins a waiting line and watches the recording meanwhile, with a bar over it showing their place and a rough wait. They can keep asking questions in the chat. When a seat frees up, the room switches them to the live demo by itself.

How the line works

  • The bar shows their place, such as You're next for the live demo, and a rough wait based on recent live demos.
  • When a seat frees up, the front of the line holds it for 25 seconds and joins automatically. The room says "A live seat opened. Switching you to the live demo…" and then "You're live now. Ask anything as we go."
  • A place in line drops if the room stops responding, after 4 minutes in line, or when the visitor presses Stay on the recording.
  • If someone else takes the seat first, the room says so, and the visitor keeps watching the recording.
  • At most 12 visitors wait at once across DemoPage. Past that, visitors watch the recording.

Where seats come from

Live demos run in demo browsers shared across DemoPage, and when none is free, visitors join the line. Your plan also sets how many of your visitors can be in a live demo at once: 1 on the trial, Free, and Starter, 3 on Growth, and 4 on Scale. Past that, the next visitor joins the line the same way. Visitors get the recording for other reasons too; see when visitors get the recording.
