Why does the recording mention another company?

Reviewed

Short answer

Every visitor on a demo link sees the same recording, usually the newest finished walkthrough of your product, made for an earlier visitor. Its voice can name that visitor's company. Live demos and chat answers are made for the visitor who is watching.

How the recording is picked

  • A recording our team pinned for your demo, if there is one.
  • Otherwise, the newest finished walkthrough on your link. It leaves out demos where a visitor took the screen, demos where the guide built something in your sandbox, demos made for one lead under Demo before the first call, and support sessions.
  • Before any walkthrough has finished, the one made from the page check when you went live.

What visitors are told

Under a recording, the demo page says "The voice may name another company. Answers stay on the pages this team approved." When the demo is in another language, the chat also says the recording is in its original language; see Can I dub my recorded demo into other languages?
