Short answer
17 languages, each with its own voice: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu, and Urdu. Live demos, chat, and answers work in all of them, and visitors can change the language on the demo's start screen.
How a visitor's language is chosen
The demo starts in the first of these that's set:
- A language on the page or the link: data-language on your script tag, or ?lang= on your demo link.
- The language you picked in Demo settings, under Language and voice. See choosing the start language.
- The visitor's browser language, when it's one of the 17.
- English, when none of these is set.
Visitors can change the language from the Language menu at the top of the start screen, shown as a globe on a phone. Once the demo starts, it stays in that language.
Language codes
In data-language and ?lang=, use the two-letter code: en for English, es for Spanish, fr for French, de for German, it for Italian, pt for Portuguese, ru for Russian, zh for Chinese, ja for Japanese, ko for Korean, hi for Hindi, bn for Bengali, gu for Gujarati, kn for Kannada, pa for Punjabi, te for Telugu, and ur for Urdu.
For example, app.demopage.io/d/your-link?lang=de opens your demo in German. A code with a region, like pt-BR, is ignored. See sharing your demo link, and the setup guide for the script tag.
Asking out loud
Visitors can ask by voice with the microphone button, Ask out loud, in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Hindi. In the other languages, they type their questions in the chat.
More on spoken questions: asking out loud.
What the language changes
- The start screen, the buttons, and the chat. Urdu reads right to left.
- The guide's voice, and its answers in live demos and in chat.
- Not your product's own screens: they stay as you built them.
Recordings
- The recording plays in the language it was made in, while chat and answers stay in the visitor's language.
- To offer it in other languages, dub the recording. Visitors then get the dub in their language when there's one.
- Demos recorded for a lead before a call are made in English.
On your plan
The trial and the Starter, Growth, and Scale plans include all 17 languages. On the Free plan after the trial, the demo runs in one language, the one you picked in Demo settings or English, with no language menu. See plans compared.
See it in another language
These languages have their own page, with the labels a visitor sees in that language: Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi. The interactive demo page covers all 17, and which ones take spoken questions.
