Short answer
When a demo made for them passes every check, the lead gets an email from your product's name via DemoPage, with a link to their own walkthrough. They can ask questions on the page as they watch, the link works for 30 days, and the email offers your booking link or asks them to reply.
When it's sent
- Email the lead their demo when every page loads as expected is ticked under Demo before the first call. It's ticked when you turn the feature on, and changing it saves by itself.
- Every page loaded as expected, and at least 2 pages show.
When any of these isn't true, your team gets the demo first, and the lead shows as Ready for you.
What the email says
Here's what a lead at Contoso gets when Northwind's demo is emailed to them.
- From: Northwind via DemoPage.
- Subject: Your Northwind walkthrough for Contoso. The company is left out when you didn't send it.
- A greeting with their first name, when you sent firstname.
- What they asked, in their words, and up to 4 of the pages their walkthrough shows.
- A link to watch it. They can ask questions on the page as they watch: answers come from your own pages, and anything those don't cover goes to your team. See how answers work.
- Your booking link when you've set one, or else a request to reply.
- A last line saying they got it because they asked for a demo, and that the link works for 30 days.
Where replies go
Replies go to the first address under Email alerts to, on the Leads tab in Where alerts go. With no address there, a reply doesn't reach your team, so keep at least one.
When they open it
You get an alert the first time they open their own link, titled with their email and opened the Northwind demo made for them. Opening the preview link yourself doesn't count.
Under Demo before the first call, their note then says when they opened it and how much they watched, such as watched 50% or watched to the end.
If it wasn't emailed
- 1Find the lead under Demo before the first call. It shows Ready for you, and the note says why it wasn't emailed.
- 2Press Preview and watch it.
- 3If it looks right, press Copy their link and send it yourself. The link works for 30 days, and you still get an alert when they open it.
